Understand Your Costs Before Admission
Insurance benefits can be confusing, especially when it comes to behavioral health services. Before admission, our team will verify your benefits directly with your insurance company and help you understand what your coverage may mean for your family.
We’ll review information such as:
Your deductible and the amount you’ve met to date
Your out-of-pocket maximum and the amount you’ve met to date
Your copay or coinsurance responsibility
Any authorization requirements that may apply to treatment
Our goal is to give you a clearer understanding of your potential financial responsibility before your teen begins treatment, so you can make an informed decision about care.
Insurance Support Throughout Treatment
Once your teen is admitted to Lumen, our team will continue working directly with your insurance company to help manage the coverage and authorization process throughout their care.
This may include:
Completing required prior authorizations and initial authorization requests
Submitting continued stay reviews and requesting additional treatment days when clinically appropriate
Appealing coverage denials when appropriate
We’ll manage these insurance-related steps so your family can stay focused on your teen’s treatment and progress.
