Depression Treatment for Teens in North Carolina
Lumen provides specialized support for teens struggling with depression, including persistent sadness, loss of interest or motivation, irritability, hopelessness, withdrawal, and difficulty managing everyday responsibilities.
Depression can affect how teens feel, think, interact with others, and function at home or school. Our Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program serves teens ages 11–17, with consideration for 18-year-olds who are still enrolled in high school.
Our Approach
Our approach focuses on helping teens better understand their depression, identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and develop practical skills for managing difficult emotions and reconnecting with daily life.
Treatment is collaborative and individualized, helping teens strengthen coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and build meaningful connections while giving them an active voice in their care and supporting the entire family throughout the process.
