Anxiety Treatment for Teens in North Carolina
Lumen provides specialized support for teens struggling with anxiety, including excessive worry, feeling constantly on edge, difficulty managing uncertainty, physical symptoms of anxiety, and avoidance of situations that feel overwhelming.
Anxiety can affect school, friendships, family relationships, activities, and everyday routines. Our Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program serves teens ages 11–17, with consideration for 18-year-olds who are still enrolled in high school.
Our Approach
Our approach focuses on helping teens better understand their anxiety, recognize triggers and patterns, and develop practical skills for responding to anxious thoughts and feelings.
Treatment is collaborative and individualized, helping teens strengthen coping skills, build confidence in navigating uncomfortable situations, and reduce the impact anxiety has on daily life, while giving them an active voice in their care and supporting the entire family throughout the process.
